Pathfinders is a worldwide Christian youth program focused on service, adventure, and spiritual growth. Sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, it’s open to all young people ages 10–18, regardless of religious background. With nearly 2 million members globally, Pathfinders helps youth develop character, leadership, and a personal walk with God through hands-on experiences, teamwork, and fun.
The Orlando City Pathfinder Club is a faith-centered, adventure-based program designed especially for students in 5th through 12th grade. Young people in this age group are growing rapidly — physically, socially, and spiritually — and our program meets them right where they are.
Through action-packed activities and Christ-centered guidance, Pathfinders learn new skills, serve their communities, and grow in confidence, character, and faith. Every meeting, campout, and challenge is an opportunity to develop a deeper relationship with God, one another, and His Creation.
These five pillars guide everything we do:
👐 Service – Living God’s love through unselfish action
⛰️ Christian Adventures – Discovering faith through challenge
🌱 Empowerment – Building character, confidence, and purpose
🤝 Connection – Creating lifelong friendships in Christ
🌿 Love for Nature – Experiencing God’s creation
From community service to nature exploration, high-adventure trips to skill-building challenges, Pathfinders engage in:
Many of our activities spark lifelong interests, hobbies, and even careers, all while strengthening a young person’s sense of identity, purpose, and connection to Christ.
At Orlando City Pathfinders, we live by these values:
✝️ Faith – Jesus at the center of all we do
❤️ Love – Leading with compassion and care
💡 Innovation – Bold ideas for a new generation
🏅 Excellence – Doing our best for God in all things
🌍 Inclusivity – Welcoming every young person into the family of Christ
🎉 Joy – Celebrating God through fun and laughter
When I was ten years old, I joined a Pathfinder Club for the very first time. I didn’t know it then, but those weekly meetings, campouts, and hikes would become some of the most powerful and shaping experiences of my childhood. I built friendships that taught me the beauty of Christian brotherhood. I earned honors that filled me with confidence and joy. And one night, during a trip to the Grand Canyon, I stood beneath the endless expanse of the Milky Way, looked out across the vast canyon, and whispered to myself, “There really must be a God.” That moment marked the beginning of my personal relationship with Jesus.
At that time, my parents were going through a painful divorce. Life felt uncertain. But Pathfinders became a place of safety, joy, and hope. The positive Christian mentors, the structure, the adventure—it was exactly what I needed. In many ways, I credit Pathfinders with helping me stay connected to God through a difficult season. And now, decades later, I still walk with God, and I still believe in this ministry with all my heart.
Today, I have three children of my own, and all three are Pathfinders. Watching them grow through this program has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I’ve seen them become more confident. I’ve watched them build deep, meaningful, faith-filled friendships. I've seen them discover joy in service, wonder in nature, and courage in leadership. Pathfinders is truly a tool that helps shape not just good kids, but young people with purpose and character.
That’s why I now serve as the Director of the Orlando City Pathfinders. My life’s mission is to help young people discover their God-given potential and grow into the people God created them to be. We are a vibrant, Christ-centered youth organization that combines the best of adventure, spiritual growth, and fun.
We go camping under the stars, learn real-world skills, serve our community, travel across the country, earn badges, hike trails, make lifelong friends, and, most importantly, walk closer with God.
Our staff is made up of passionate, caring adults who see this not just as a club, but as a calling. They show up week after week to encourage, mentor, guide, and pray with your child. Whether your child is shy or bold, new to faith or growing strong in it, Pathfinders meets them where they are and walks with them toward who they can become.
If you're looking for a place where your child can grow in confidence, develop lasting friendships, learn new skills, and deepen their faith in a positive, structured, and joy-filled environment—Pathfinders might just be the gift you didn’t know your family needed.
So, come visit us. Meet our team. See for yourself what makes this community so special. And if you believe in what we’re doing, help us spread the word. Tell a neighbor, invite a friend, share the opportunity.
Let’s build something beautiful together.
With gratitude and hope,
Tomas Diaz
